The Tyler Blain Shelter (TBS) is a temporary emergency shelter for men and families with children. It is an ADA compliant home that can shelter up to 6 individuals and a family.

Advanced referrals required for placement; unsheltered individuals must call shelter. Must meet HUD’s definition of homeless Shelter guests must be able to live independently Must have clean background check and agree to follow shelter safety rules Shelter guests have access to an eat-in kitchen, a community food pantry, laundry facilities, and a common area. On-site staff provide focused case management services to all shelter guests by developing individualized plans of action that address barriers to household self-sufficiency and finding permanent housing.

  • Area Served: Coös, Carroll, and Grafton Counties priority, statewide accepted
  • Income Guidelines: None
  • Program Cost: Free for individuals without an income, individuals with income are asked to contribute $50 per week (families $70)
