The Longest Night Of The Year Vigil

December 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Green Gazebo in Centennial Park on Main Street in Lancaster, NH, for the Longest Night of the Year — an evening of remembrance and reflection.

As we gather on the longest night of the year, we will honor those lost to homelessness in New Hampshire over the past year. Each name will be read aloud, accompanied by the soft glow of luminary bags, symbolizing the dignity and humanity of those we remember. The vigil will conclude with a collective moment of silence, offering us a space to reflect on our shared responsibility in addressing homelessness within our community.

This meaningful ceremony is a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion, awareness, and action. We welcome community members to join us in bearing witness to the human cost of homelessness and reaffirming our commitment to making a difference.

UPDATE: This year, we’re expanding the reach of our Longest Night of the Year vigil on 12/21 by supporting three simultaneous events in Littleton, Colebrook, and Conway, all starting at 6 PM. In addition to the Lancaster vigil, we are proud to partner with:
