Tri-County CAP employees and volunteers help to raise money for the American Cancer Society each year in June, by participating in the Relay For Life. This year's local Relay was once again held at the New Hampshire Community Technical College's Berlin campus. Tri-County CAP's theme was "CAPture a Cure."

Luminaria are glowing bags that at first appear to be nothing more than paper sacks filled with sand and candles. But upon closer examination these sacks are actually like people, each with a name and a story to tell.

The Ceremony of Hope is one of the most special and moving events of the Relay for Life.

Everyone gathers around to remember those lost to cancer, support those fighting cancer,

and rejoice with those who have fought the disease and won.

The Relay is all about hope, endurance... and celebrating the human spirit.

But it's not all serious...

Once again this year, the Berlin event featured the Miss Relay "beauty" pageant.

Several of the entrants had surprisingly deep voices!

Tri-County CAP thanks all of those who took part in the walk, and gives special thanks to Nancy Malone,

right, Volunteer Recruitment Chairperson for the Berlin Relay for Life committee,

and Brenda Gagne, left, Co-Captain with Nancy of the Tri-County CAP Relay Team.

Thanks also to Mark Ducharme for taking pictures every year at the Relay for Life:

And congratulations to Cody Thompson for winning Second Place in the Miss Relay Contest!
