In the fall of 2007, Tri-County
CAP's Youth Alternatives Program in Carroll County was reborn as the
Carroll County
Restorative Justice Center
with an expanded array of
services for youth and adults.
Restorative Justice works
on the premise that the harm caused by crime is best addressed by involving
the offender, the victim, and the community in repairing the damage caused
by the crime. The Restorative Justice Center offers multiple programs that
help address issues specific to each of the offender, the victim, and the
community at large.
We currently offer the following programs:
Juvenile Court Diversion, an alternative
to court for young first offenders
Adult Court Diversion, an alternative to
court for adult offenders
Offense Specific Programs, learning to
make educated life decisions
Family Mediation, parents and kids
learning new ways to resolve conflict
Victim Offender and Other Mediation Services,
including V-O, Elders, Community, Marital, and more

We have moved!
On May 1st, 2008, the Carroll County Restorative Justice Center
relocated from
northern Carroll County (Conway) to the center of the county in
Tamworth.
This will
enable us to better serve both the southern and the northern ends of the
county.
Our offices
are now located in the Tri-County CAP Resource Center, and our new
address and phone numbers are:
